the tavern

"Ye Olde Tavern" was built in 1844 and purchased by the historical society in 1984. It once served as a stopping point for many travelers and lumbermen. Today, it remains a significant landmark of Burlington and serves as the base of operations for the Historical Society. Our visitors enjoy sitting in for our annual pancake breakfast, and looking through the old hotel register for family names.
